(Beaver Dam) A Black Brook woman has been charged in Dodge County Court with bringing an illegal substance into Fox Lake Correctional. Ann-Marie Zukowski is facing one felony count of Deliver Illegal Articles to an Inmate. In April, correctional staff reportedly observed an unusual kiss between Zukowski and an inmate. According to the criminal complaint, staff said the kiss was more abrupt than usual and appeared that Zukowski was pushing something into the inmateโs mouth with her tongue. The inmate was placed in a holding cell and was overheard attempting to regurgitate. As officers checked the cell they noticed something lodged down a sink drain which wound up being four small balloons that were filled with marijuana. When investigators interviewed Zukowski she at first denied the accusations but then allegedly admitted to her actions and said (quote), โI didnโt do it for anybody elseโ and that the balloons contained (quote) โjust pot.โ If convicted, the 52-year-old faces no more than three-and-a-half years in prison. An initial appearance is scheduled for June 25.
