PMBD Launches 7th Annual Community Food Drive

(Beaver Dam) Playground Movement Beaver Dam launched its seventh annual Community Food Drive last month. Donations will be accepted through April 25th at various community locations and recipient families will be able to pick up food bags at the YMCA of Dodge County on April 27th.

This year’s drive hopes to serve 125 slots consisting of 80 plus pounds of food to feed a family of four for at least a week. Families are asked to pre-register to receive a food gift.

This year’s event will once again be held on Global Youth Services Day, which takes place April 25th through the 27th. This year’s youth leader is Matthew Sether, a member of the 2028 graduating class at Beaver Dam High School.

The YMCA of Dodge County will be the hosting place for basket assembly and recipients drive-through pick-ups. Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to visit Playground Movement Beaver Dam’s Facebook page or website to register. Those donating food are asked to visit their Facebook page to see the list of community donation drop-off sites.
