(Lomira) A person is in custody following multiple pursuits with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called around noon to investigate a man on a motorcycle who arrived at a property in Lomira and told the owners there he was running from police. The man was driving through residential areas and was eventually spotted by a sheriff’s sergeant who pursued him until the motorcycle headed off-road. A short-time later, another homeowner in Leroy reported that the same suspect stole some of their property under threat of force and prevented them from calling 911 before fleeing the area. In the hours that followed, sheriff’s deputies followed up on numerous reports of the cycle in various nearby locations acting suspiciously. Around 3pm, another sergeant observed the motorcycle committing traffic violations. Another chase ensued and ended when the suspect entered Fond du Lac County. A report was made shortly after that the cycle had crashed in the City of Fond du Lac and its driver taken into custody. The suspect is being held at the Dodge County Jail on a probation hold pending the completion of the investigation. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lomira Police Department, Brownsville Village Marshal, Fond du Lac County Sheriff, Fond du Lac Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
