(Beaver Dam) The Patriot Tour made its way to Beaver Dam Friday. The summer-long fundraiser for veterans sees multiple motorcycle riders carry one American flag, city-to-city, through all 50 states.
Tim Fletcher, the flag bearer from Beaver Dam, received the flag yesterday which was followed by a welcome ceremony at the American Legion building. The flag is set to depart Beaver Dam today and head to the House of Harley in Greenfield. From there it will make its way to Countryside in Illinois. It’s final stop is in Erie, Pennsylvania.
The Patriot Tour is organized by the Beaver Dam-based non-profit Nation of Patriots and has raised nearly $2-million-dollars since its inception in 2009.
