Opening Day Of The Dodge County Fair

(Beaver Dam) It’s opening day for the Dodge County Fair. A new Fairest of the Fair will be crowned this afternoon. The Badger State Tractor Pullers are slated for opening night tonight and will include various pro stock tractors and some of the top-running diesel trucks in the country. The fair will have three main stage music acts this year. Classic country act Sawyer Brown performs tomorrow (Thur). The country band Lanco is on tap for Friday. Saturday will see two rock bands take to the main stage; Great White and Slaughter. The 95X morning show will be live at Radio Park today, tomorrow and Friday with special guests and WBEV’s Break Time with John Kraft, Thomas Rehfeldt and Brenda Murphy will be live each day at 9:30am. Free family-friendly activities throughout the fairgrounds starting today include pig, duck and goat races; the Nick’s Kids Show; and the educational Wild World of Animals show. The admission price is $7 to get in before 12 noon and $10 after that. Season tickets are $35 dollars. Kids age nine and under are free. On the carnival midway today, wristbands are $25.
