One Person Killed During Residential Fire In The Town Of Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) One person was killed in a residential fire in the town of Beaver Dam early Friday morning. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a fire at N8283 Kellom Road, Lot 43, around 1:48am.

Deputies arrived on scene within three minutes of the call and found the residence to be fully engulfed in flames. The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded along with other fire agencies to extinguish the fire.

One resident, a 29-year-old Beaver Dam man, was able to make it out of the home safely. Authorities say another resident, a 29-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, was not able to escape and was pronounced dead at the scene.

They add that the pets within the home were also found deceased. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.

Beaver Dam, WI-On January 3rd at 1:50am the Beaver Dam Fire Department was dispatched to N8283 #43 Kellom Road in the Town of Beaver Dam for a structure fire at the North Hills Mobile Home Park. Initial reports indicated that two people lived in the mobile home and it was fully involved in fire.

The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded immediately and requested additional resources through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System. Law enforcement officers arrived on scene prior to the fire department and reported that one individual was able to safely exit the structure however the second occupant was unaccounted for.

On arrival firefighters found a mobile home that was fully involved in fire. Two vehicles were also burning in the front yard. Firefighters quickly deployed several hose lines, began suppressing the fire, and worked to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby exposures. Firefighters worked to gain access to the mobile home and locate the victim. Once the fire was fully extinguished, a victim was located and pronounced deceased.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Beaver Dam Fire Department, Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Mutual Aid was provided by Burnett, Waupun, Juneau, Randolph, and Fox Lake Fire Departments. The Hustisford and Watertown Fire Departments provided Fire and EMS coverage to the Beaver Dam area during the incident.
