(LEROY) – A Brookfield woman was killed after a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Wednesday morning.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. on State Highway 49 near County Highway YY in Leroy.
According to investigators, a Campbellsport man was driving westbound when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed over the center line, and collided with two other vehicles, including a semi.
According to the release, the Campbellsport man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The semi driver was taken to the hospital to be examined. He appeared not to be injured. A 48-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash closed that portion of State Highway 49 for roughly six hours.
