Oconomowoc Woman Sentenced To Jail For Injuring Another Motorist While Under The Influence

(Ashippun) An Oconomowoc woman guilty of injuring another motorist in Dodge County while under the influence was in court for her sentencing hearing Tuesday. Erin Jurich was sentenced to 120 days in jail with work release privileges after pleading guilty to a felony charge of Injury by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle. Jurich ran a stop sign in Ashippun in February of 2020 and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated by fire and EMS personnel. The victim suffered a fractured right ankle, a broken left forearm, and three fractured ribs. When authorities questioned Jurich, they noticed that she had blood shot eyes and slow speech. Jurich admitted to drinking three alcoholic seltzer beverages’ earlier in the day. A preliminary breath test returned a reading of point-one-five-five (.155). The 42-year-old was also placed on parole for two years.
