Oconomowoc Woman Makes Initial Appearance In Dodge County Court On Injury By Intoxicated Use Of A Vehicle Charge

(Ashippun) An Oconomowoc woman charged with injuring another motorist in Dodge County while under the influence made her initial appearance in court Monday. Erin Jurich is facing two felony counts of Injury by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle. According to the criminal, Jurich reportedly ran a stop sign in Ashippun last February and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated by fire and EMS personnel. The victim suffered a fractured right ankle, a broken left forearm and three fractured ribs. When authorities questioned Jurich, they allegedly noticed that she had blood shot eyes and slow speech. Jurich reportedly admitted to drinking three alcoholic seltzer beverages’ earlier in the day. A preliminary breath test reportedly returned a reading of point-one-five-five (.155). If convicted, the 42-year-old faces up to 25 years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 24th.
