(Clyman) Dodge County District Attorney Andrea Will on Friday filed one charge of First-Degree Intentional Homicide with a domestic abuse enhancer and one charge of Hiding a Corpse against 43-year-old Zachariah Rasch of Clyman in the death of Crystal Rasch. This case began in June as a missing person investigation and was eventually classified as a death investigation. Sheriffโ€™s officials say this case remains an open and active case and there will be no further information available from the sheriffโ€™s office. They add that family has met with staff of the sheriffโ€™s office and the district attorneyโ€™s office and while they appreciate everything the community has done, they continue to request privacy in the matter as they continue to grieve the loss of Crystal.ย 

(Lowell) A man from India has been taken into custody for his alleged role in attempting to defraud a Dodge County resident out of large amount of money.

(Waupun) Dodge County authorities have made an arrest in an overdose death of a Waupun Correctional Institution inmate. Janelle Hill of Madison was taken into custody Thursday and is facing a felony charge of First-Degree Reckless Homicide. The charge stems from an investigation that started in June of 2022, when an inmate at the Waupun prison died from a drug overdose. Following an autopsy, latex ballons were recovered from the victim that contained a suspected mixture of cocaine and fentanyl. Authorities say these balloons were delivered to the victim from the 37-year-old the day before his death during a visit. They add that the balloons are believed to have become compromised while in the victimโ€™s body causing his death from drug toxicity.

(Dodge County) The Dodge County Fairgrounds Flea Market and Craft Fair rolls into town from 8am to 2pm today. Attendees can expect over 80 vendors selling a wide variety of items such as antiques, collectibles, handmade crafts, food, drinks, and more. Admission to the flea market and craft fair is free, with an ATM on site at the grandstands. 

(Juneau) The Dodgeland FFA chapter in Juneau has been awarded $4,000 as part of the Agriculture, Education, and Classroom Equipment Grant program offered by Compeer Financial. The FFA group purchased a Bovine Breeder, an artificial insemination simulator, with the grant money. The grant provides funds to local Agriculture Education Programs to support agricultural education and classroom equipment, giving students access to modern resources in the rapidly changing agriculture industry. 

(Columbus) Older adults are welcome to come to the Columbus Community Center for Generation on Lineโ€™s Sip and Swipe Cafรฉ. The cafรฉ is a place where older adults can take free self-paced lessons on how to use the latest technology so they can stay connected with friends and family. It teaches the basics such as touching a touchscreen, enlarging and shrinking a page, scrolling up and down, where buttons are located, and how to make a keyboard appear and disappear. The cafรฉ is Monday through Thursday from 8am to 2pm. Those who have questions about the program are asked to call the Columbus Community Center at 920-623-5918.
