News – November 21, 2024

(Rubicon) Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a passenger car versus semi crash on County Road N at Goodland Road in the town of Rubicon, Wisconsin at approximately 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 19th. Initial investigation shows a 2021 Infinity passenger car was northbound on Goodland Road when it failed to stop at the stop sign on Goodland Road at County Road N. The vehicle was struck by a 2024 Western Star semi traveling westbound on County Road N. The driver of the Infinity, a 23-year-old male from Milwaukee, was extricated from the vehicle and suffered serious life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the Infinity was arrested for operating while impaired, first offense. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team. 

(Dodge County) The season’s first winter weather advisory of the season was issued for today (Thursday) with a slushy, rain-snow mix in the forecast. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says that even if the snow isn’t sticking to the roads, you need to remember that pavement can become slick quickly. Schmidt says overpasses will develop slippery spots much faster than the roads. In Dodge County they always have issues on the Highway 151 overpass at County Road A.  

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Area Orchestra is kicking off their 71st season with a free Fall Concert on Saturday, November 23rd at 7:00pm. The concert will be held at the Beaver Dam High School Auditorium (500 Gould St.).
