(Dodge County) Despite the chance for some precipitation in the forecast, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is warning residents of the elevated fire risk. Most of the state is under either high or very high fire danger. Dodge, Fond du Lac, Columbia, and Jefferson counties are under high danger while Green Lake is listed as very high. The DNR has already responded to over 50 wildfires across Wisconsin this week alone, bringing the yearly total to 193 fires burning 356 acres.

(Beaver Dam) A local non-profit is in search for youth workers. PAVE: which stands for Protect, Advocate, Validate, and Educate โ€“ and is Dodge Countyโ€™s only domestic abuse shelter โ€“ is offering three-month paid Youth Fellowship opportunities. Participants can earn a $1,000 stipend, paid out at $9 an hour. Duties will include donation processing, website and socials management, security greeter, and youth programming assistance. Two individuals, aged 14 and up, will be selected to begin the youth fellowship cycle on April 1st. The application deadline is March 20th.

(Dodge County) The Arc of Dodge County has announced openings for two $1,000 scholarships and is encouraging county residents to apply. Mary Pat Boschert is an Arcโ€˜s Scholarship Chairperson and explained the prerequisites for this opportunity. Some essentials for this process include the applicant maintaining a 3.0 GPA or above, with an enclosed transcript and reference letter. The application is due April 15th this year.

(Beaver Dam) Community members are invited to attend Beaver Damโ€™s Shamrockโ€™n Bar Crawl this weekend. Itโ€™s taking place on Saturday (March 16th) from 3pm to 11pm. There will also be a pair of contests throughout the day for bar crawl participants, the โ€œChase the Leprechaun Challengeโ€ and the โ€œMake a Scene in Green Costume Contest.โ€ Winners of each contest will be announced on Tuesday.

(Fond du Lac) Moraine Park recently celebrated the Collegeโ€™s newly constructed Automation, Innovation and Robotics (AIR) Center. The building was built on MPTCโ€™s Fond du Lac campus. In total, 32 district partners donated $2.7-million-dollars to the project. The AIR Center broke ground last May and was completed this January, just in time for the first class of students in the spring semester. The AIR Center construction, which is phase one of the Collegeโ€™s Advanced Manufacturing and Trades facility in Fond du Lac, was the first visible sign of referendum construction.
