(Milford) Jefferson County authorities are asking the public’s help in locating a burglary suspect. Crawfish Junction was burglarized during the early morning hours on March 9th. The male suspect was operating a small gray two door vehicle which was parked down the road from the business. Law enforcement say the lone suspect entered the store by throwing a chunk of asphalt at a small window to the front door, breaking the glass. The individual is described as approximately five-foot-nine-inches tall to five-foot-11 with an athletic build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with no logos, black gloves with a white unknown logo, a facemask, light colored blue jeans, black PUMA slippers, and was carrying a red handled hammer. (Fond du Lac) There were multiple injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the township of Fond du Lac yesterday (Friday) morning. Deputies were dispatched to Highway 23 at Streblow Drive around 6:45am. The investigation showed that a passenger car was stopped at the stop sign on Streblow Drive to make a left hand turn. When the vehicle proceeded into the intersection, it pulled out into the path of a westbound passenger car. Both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lane of 23. The passenger car that was turning was operated by a 29-year-old male from Fond du Lac who was transported from the scene by ambulance to the Fond du Lac County airport. He was meet by a medical helicopter which transported him to the hospital in Neenah for treatment of serious injuries. The westbound vehicle was operated by a 20-year-old male from North Fond du Lac along with two passengers, a 38-year-old male and a 41-year-old male both from North Fond du lac. All three individuals were transported to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries. Both operators and the two passengers in the westbound vehicle were wearing their seat belts. The driver of the passenger car that was turning was cited for failure to yield right away from a stop sign.

(Watertown) A Watertown man accused of injuring a bicyclist while under the influence entered a not guilty plea during his arraignment hearing this week. Todd Zimmerman was allegedly behind the wheel when he was turning right onto Spaulding Street and hit a bicyclist with the front of his truck in November. According to the criminal complaint, the 52-year-old admitted to drinking a bottle of vodka the night prior. A preliminary breath test reportedly returned a reading of point-two-one (.21). If convicted, Zimmerman faces up to six years in prison.

(Lomira) A Milwaukee man accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend while passing through Dodge County is heading to trial after probable cause was found this week. Daniea (dan-e-uh) Lanier allegedly struck the victim with a closed fist multiple times and even fired a gun while the two of them were inside the vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, the bullet passed through the glovebox. The vehicle was stopped near Lomira and Lanier was arrested. He denied anything had occurred. If convicted, the 45-year-old faces over 30 years behind bars. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for April 11th.

(Fond du Lac) Two Green Bay men involved in a high speed chase with Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies that ended up in the Eldorado (el-doe-ray-doe) Marsh have made their initial court appearances. Cash bond was set at $25-thousand-dollars for Clayton Dobbe who was allegedly driving the vehicle that crashed into a tree once it entered the marsh last Friday. The 20-year-old is charged with First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Fleeing, Obstruction, Possession of Marijuana and Bail Jumping. His passenger, Erick Medina is facing some of the same charges, but as a party to the crime. The 21-year-old’s bond was set at $500. A search team had to use a drone and heat-detecting technology to locate both of them in the marsh. Both men will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on March 18th.

(Minocqua) Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad has filed suit in federal court, alleging Senator Ron Johnson and Congressman Tom Tiffany and Scott Fitzgerald of aiding the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Bangstad claims that violates the 14th Amendment, which kept former members of the Confederacy out of Congress. Bangstad’s Super Pac filed the suit in the Eastern District of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, on behalf of 10 Wisconsin residents. Johnson calls the lawsuit ‘total nonsense.’ – WRN

(Madison) At least six Wisconsin state Senators will not seek reelection this fall. Republican Senator Jerry Petrowski of Marathon dropped that news on Thursday. Petrowski is a veteran lawmaker, elected to the Senate in 2012 following Assembly service that began in 1998. Also this week, Evansville Democrat Janis Ringhand said she’s not running again. Ringhand was elected in 2014 and has served as Assistant Minority Leader. And, Brookfield Republican Dale Kooyenga has said he will not seek reelection, if districts approved by the Wisconsin Supreme Court are allowed to stand. The maps, a product of a commission appointed by Governor Ton Evers, moved Kooyenga in to the district of River Hills Republican Alberta Darling. Republicans have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the state court ruling. Republican Senators Roger Roth of Appleton and Kathy Bernier of Chippewa Falls and Democrats Jon Erpenbach of West Point and Minority Leader Janet Bewley of Mason all previously announced they were not running again. Roth is running for lieutenant governor. There are also 14 members of the state Assembly not running for reelection. – WRN

(Dodge County) Several local couples were elected to the state’s marriage hall of fame. The Wisconsin Family Council began what they called “this unique Hall of Fame” to honor both the institution of marriage and individual marriages that have gone the distance. A total of eleven couples were part of their first hall of fame class with five being from the surrounding area. Otis and Bonnie Ostrander from Beaver Dam have been married for 67 years. Donald and Alice Roth from Hustisford will be married 69 years this April. Bill and Barbara Lincoln from Watertown and Levi and Patricia Snyder from Markesan have both been married for 68 years. Clarence and Henrietta VanEssen from Waupun have been married for 70 years. The Wisconsin Family Council says unfortunately Clarence passed away last month. The organization’s President Julaine Appling says strong marriages that last a lifetime are the bedrock for a strong Wisconsin.

(Beaver Dam) Your weekend will be one hour shorter than normal. That’s because Daylight Savings time begins at 2am Sunday morning, and we’re all supposed to move our clocks ahead one hour before going to bed tonight. Officials with the Beaver Dam Fire Department say while you are changing your clocks for the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, take a few extra minutes to check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. They recommend changing the batteries and making sure the detectors work.
