(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council this week approved the sale agreement of city-owned land that has been proposed for a housing project. The nine-acre lot, located behind Goodwill and north of Walmart, was sold to Premier Real Estate Management for $100. The developer has approached the city about building an apartment complex with 60 units on the site. The city hopes is to have a developerโ€™s agreement in place in the next several months with construction getting underway later this year.  

(Beaver Dam) Members of the Beaver Dam Community Action Plan Committee were recognized during this weekโ€™s common council meeting. At the beginning of the year, members of the community formed seven sub-committees to develop an outline that would help guild the formation of the cityโ€™s next Comprehensive Plan. Those are volunteered to be part of the Community Action Plan received plaques with their names to recognize their efforts.

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man was arrested Monday by Columbia County authorities for his fourth OWI offense. Gary Hicks was reportedly slumped over his steering wheel after he crashed into a tree in the town of Fountain Prairie around 4pm. A search of the 53-year-oldโ€™s vehicle allegedly yielded fentanyl, kratom (kra-tim), and drug paraphernalia. 

(Beaver Dam) Residents are invited to the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatreโ€™s presentation of โ€œAnastasia: The Musical.โ€ It starts tomorrow (June 20th) and runs until Sunday, June 30th at the Kamps Auditorium. Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for students.

(Beaver Dam) The Good Karma Brands John Moser Childrenโ€™s Radiothon kicks off at 6am tomorrow (Thursday) morning. The 27-hour marathon broadcast benefits 16 local agencies that benefit children. The entirety of the Radiothon will be simulcast on both 95.3 WBEV and 1430 ESPN. It will also be streamed on DailyDodgeTV.
