(Juneau) Dodge County is seeking public input on its land use. The county, in cooperation with Cedar Corporation consultants, is in the process of preparing its 2045 Comprehensive Plan. As a part of this process, a citizen opinion survey has been released to help gather up-front information and perspectives from the countyโ€™s residents and landowners. The online survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and will be available until February 28th.

(Wisconsin) Volunteers from the Wisconsin chapter of the American Red Cross are assisting wildfire relief efforts in California. Northeast Wisconsin Executive Director Rebecca Rockhill says they are coordinating closely with their partners to provide food, shelter and emotional support and other critical services. (Jefferson) One person was killed following a single-vehicle crash in the town of Jefferson Monday evening. Jefferson County sheriffโ€™s deputies were dispatched to County Highway Y just before 10pm. A vehicle heading south failed to negotiate a curve and rolled several times. The driver was extricated and life saving measures were attempted, but were unsuccessful. The crash is still under investigation.ย 

(Beaver Dam) State Representative Mark Born of Beaver Dam recently discussed the state surplus as it relates to the biennial budget. Born says the state has about a four billion dollar surplus and that amount is due in part to the governorโ€™s numerous vetoes to tax cuts the past two years. He adds that the state will have around $1.5 to 2 billion dollars in projected growth that can be used to focus on priorities.  

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Center for the Arts has a new gallery coordinator as Mary Fitzgerald is stepping into the newly created role. President of the Center for the Arts Kraig Kasten says that they needed someone to coordinate their efforts in the art world rather than manage people.
