(Beaver Dam) An Appleton man has been sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison for running from Beaver Dam police. In May, a license plate camera reader alerted officers of a stolen vehicle which triggered the pursuit. Police lost sight of the vehicle which later struck a tree in the town of Lowell. The driver, identified as Pao (pow) Yang (yay-ing), was flown to the Summit hospital. The 36-year-old was also placed on extended supervision for a year-and-a-half.
(Juneau) The 2024 Dodge County Plat Book is now available for purchase. The book serves as a map for every municipality in the county and shows property ownership as well as hunting lands. Each book costs $32 and is sold at the county clerkโs office at 127 East Oak Street in Juneau. Those purchasing the book through the mail will see an additional $4 shipping and handling fee.
(Dodge County) The Dodge County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) announced that its resources are available during the medical benefits open enrollment period. The Medicare open enrollment deadline is tomorrow (Thursday). However, the Resource Center is reminding individuals to be weary of fraud. Open enrollment and the holidays are two leading factors in a spike of Medicare fraud cases during this time of the calendar year. (Watertown) Watertown Regional Medical Center recently announced the installation of a new MRI machine. The upgraded technology features improved processing speeds for less time on the table, a wider opening for increased patient comfort, and enhanced resolution for clearer and more consistent images. The upgraded technology also allows for scans in certain areas of the body which the previous machine was not capable of.
(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Lions Club is reminding the public that they can stop by their fruit distribution site to grab a box of produce. The organizationโs annual fruit sale fundraiser wrapped up in November, but those who missed out can still pick up some fruit. Pick up dates are December 6th, 7th, and 8th at 111 East Burnett Street. Those interested can buy California Navel Oranges with 24 to 28 per box for $25 dollars or Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit with 24 per box for $30 dollars, with gift boxes also available for purchase.
