(Juneau) Dodge County authorities are warning residents about an uptick in scam phone calls. These calls involve someone posing as a detective from the Dodge County Sheriffโs Office and using either a spoofed or restricted phone number. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says answering these calls is not worth it and says he puts information about them to the public to make them aware it is going on. He adds the first thing someone should do if they receive one of these calls is to ask what agency they are calling from, then call that agency to see if they are legit.
