(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Mayor Becky Glewen announced yesterday (Tuesday) that she will be stepping down from the post. The driving force behind the decision was Beaver Dam’s transition to a city administrator form of government, which in turn reduced the hours for the mayor position and required Glewen to seek other full-time employment. She recently accepted an offer to become administrator for Trempealeau County. Glewen says unfortunately the distance between Trempealeau County and Beaver Dam makes it impossible for her to continue serving the remainder of her term. Her last day is set for February 1st.
