(Beaver Dam) A renovation project is underway in Radio Park at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. The ground has been broken on the project to build a new stage. Fair Association President Doug Ninmann says the old stage was needing to be replaced.
“Our stage that was in Radio Park was starting to deteriorate and we had to make some type of improvement,” says Ninmann. “So, we’ve been looking at it the last couple of years to make an upgrade.”
WDS is the contractor on the project and provided the conceptual design. Ninmann says the new stage will be the “showpiece of the fairgrounds.”
“We have a very nice fairgrounds right now, but this is just going to bring it up to the next level,” says Ninmann.
Ninmann says they plan on expanding their offerings at Radio Park outside of the fair season with this addition, including musical and food events. The goal is to have the new stage in place for this year’s Dodge County Fair, which runs from August 13th through the 17th.
