Neosho Man Placed On Probation For Injuring Two Others In Drunken Crash

(Rubicon) A Neosho man who injured two others in a drunk driving accident was placed on parole for three years Tuesday. Jason Uhing entered a guilty plea to a felony count of OWI Causing Injury Second Offense from the incident that occurred last December. A second felony charge was dismissed but read into the record. Just before midnight, Uhing was driving eastbound on Highway 60 in the town of Rubicon when he crossed over the centerline and struck a westbound vehicle. The collision caused injuries to both Uhing and his 47-year-old passenger as well as the 82-year-old driver of the other vehicle. When deputies arrived, they found the 46-year-old hiding in a tree line next to the crash scene. According to the criminal complaint, a preliminary breath test returned a reading of point-two-nine (.29). Uhing was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated in 1993.
