Multiple Area Fire Departments Respond To Theresa Barn Fire

(Theresa) A number of area agencies responded to a barn fire in the town of Theresa early Tuesday morning. The Theresa Fire Department, Mayville EMS, and mutual aid partners were dispatched to N7596 Plover Road shortly after 1am. Upon arrival, the structure was fully involved and partially collapsed.  

Theresaโ€™s first arriving engine crew initiated a defensive fireground attack and extinguished the blaze extending into a neighboring cornfield. Mutual aid companies assisted with extinguishing efforts, water supply, traffic control, road salting, and evacuation operations during the incident.  

Brownsville Fire Company and the Horicon Fire Department also provided fire protection coverage for the town and village of Theresa during the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation and no damage estimates are available.  

No civilians or fire personnel were injured during the incident. In total, nine fire departments responded to the scene with assistance from the Dodge Count Sheriffโ€™s Office and the county Highway Department.
