(Beaver Dam) Moraine Park Technical College was recently recognized for its commitment to education and providing opportunities to veterans. MPTC earned the fifth spot on the Military Times Best for Vets college rankings as a Midwest, two-year college.
Moraine Park has made this list for more than nine years and serves as one of two technical colleges in Wisconsin to earn a place on this list. The Military Times surveys colleges and universities annually, and more than 350 schools participated.
Their survey seeks details about the school’s costs, programs, policies, and services that impact military-connected students. Federal data from the U.S. Departments of Education, Veterans Affairs and Defense, were also considered.
Moraine Park’s Student Veteran Specialist Steve Pepper says the College is dedicated to ensuring that every veteran who joins their campus has access to the resources they need to succeed. Pepper, who is a veteran himself, adds that it is crucial that veteran students have someone who understands their concerns and speaks their language.
MPTC also ranked number-26 among all colleges and universities in the Midwest.
