(Fond du Lac) Moraine Park Technical College recently received a $100,000 gift from Horicon Bank. The gift will help fund the state-of-the-art technology and tools to enhance hands-on experience for students in high demand tech fields at the West Bend campus, specifically the Manufacturing, Automation, and Robotics Labs.
To help with expansion, the Moraine Park Foundation is spearheading a $3-million campaign to help fund the equipment in the Manufacturing, Automation and Robotics labs. The expense was intentionally separated from the referendum dollars to minimize the burden on the taxpayers.
The foundation is currently in discussions with district partners to find the equipment needs. Horicon Bank’s commitment to education and workforce development aligns with Moraine Park’s goal of strengthening the local economy by equipping students with the skills necessary to meet industry demands.
