Motorcyclist seriously injured after hitting deer in Dodge County

A Randolph man was flown to a Madison hospital Thursday evening after a motorcycle crash in Dodge County. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 6:10 p.m. June 4 to County Road A, north of Blackhawk Trail, in the town of Fox Lake.

Investigators said a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading north on County Road A when it struck a deer. The rider, a 37-year-old man from Randolph, was the only person on the motorcycle. The sheriff’s office said he suffered serious injuries and was flown from the scene by UW Med Flight to UW Hospital in Madison.

Authorities said the rider was wearing protective gear, including a helmet, at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Beaver Dam Paramedics, Fox Lake EMS, the Fox Lake Fire Department and UW Med Flight assisted at the scene.
