(Beaver Dam) An event focused on safety is taking place at Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam this weekend. The Safety First Fair is free and open to the public and caps off National Hospital Week. Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam’s Manager of Rehabilitation Services, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Wound Clinics Martha Lewke encourages the community to stop by.
“Safety Fair is highlighting all of our local fire, police, EMS…we’re going to hopefully have the MedFlight helicopter make a surprise landing,” says Lewke. “We have over 20 different groups…whether its different services within the hospital and community organizations out to showcase who they are and what they do…there should be a lot of fun things.”
There will also be a brat fry and bake sale. Organizers say it will take place rain or shine. The Safety First Fair is Saturday, May 17th starting at 10am and goes until 1pm in the hospital’s parking lot and inside the first floor lobby and conference center.
