(Mayville) Mayville has unveiled the city’s new logo. The Community Development Authority hosted a public competition where residents could enter their own artwork or images. The winning logo was displayed at Monday night’s Common Council Meeting. Of the over 60 entrees, Jennifer Sterr’s design was selected. Sterr said she choose to include the river and bridge into her logo because they are iconic of Mayville. She said that she wanted to focus on the nature of the city as well so she added cattails and geese. Alderwoman Rachel Forster said she was thankful to the citizens for participating in the contest. Sterr received a $250 dollar check and a key to the city for winning the contest. City Clerk Sarah Decker says they use of the new logo will be gradual process.
