(Mayville) The City of Mayville is looking to expand their housing availability, including exploring new sites. Mayor Rob Boelk says there is a development on Dayton Street.
“The company is Dayton One LLC, and they’re going to be putting up another 1 to 2 buildings,” says Boelk. “So, we’re looking at 18 to 36 more units.”
Boelk says there is a need for more residential, side by side housing.
“Condos or town houses for more senior people because they want to downsize and get into a newer home, and then of course someone [who is] in an apartment can move into their house and fix it up and go on from there.”
The mayor says the current housing market is completely different from when he grew up.
