Mayville Boys Hoops Support Organ Donation On Senior Night

Senior Night for Mayville High School’s boys basketball team on Thursday night will not only celebrate the great careers of the class of 2020, but also raise awareness about value organ donation.    Cardinals head coach Matt Hurtienne says that a player on the team will eventually need a transplant in the next decade and the team has put it upon themselves to spread the word about the importance of organ donations.

Donate Life Wisconsin will have a table set up at the game beginning at around 5:30pm where people can stop by and learn a little bit more about organ donation and how important it is.   Senior Isaac Wolf has also designed a T-shirt in support of Donate Life’s cause and thanks to the support of Agnesian HealthCare about 100 of those will be given out to fans.  At halftime, Dawn Lyons-Wood of Beaver Dam have a story to tell about organ donation.  Fans will also be able to make donations to Donate Life Wisconsin at the game.
