Markesan Football Coach John Dunlavy Joins The High School OT

The Markesan high school football team will be looking to mirror the same successes they had a year ago. In 2017 they finished 11-2 and came one win shy of the state title game, losing to the eventual Division 6 champions St. Mary’s Springs. The Hornets will need to replace First Team All-Conference quarterback Carson Clark and star receivers Drew Bernhagen and Austin Triggs if they are to repeat last year’s campaign. Another drastic change was head coach Travis Winkers stepping down to take the same job at Darlington. Replacing Winkers is John Dunlavy, who joined The High School OT last Saturday to discuss the transition and his team’s 2018 outlook. The High School OT airs Saturday mornings at 8am on 95.3 WXRO.
