Marilyn Jane Kuhlman was born on the morning of April 7, 1930, the daughter of Margaret and Percy Kuhlman at Illinois Central Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Nazareth Academy for her first two years of High School and ultimately graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois.  She went on to Marymount College in New York State, where she graduated in 1952.  Marilyn lived her entire life as a devoted mother of two sons, James A. Webber of Beaver Dam, and William A. Webber of Odessa, Florida.

Marilyn moved to Beaver Dam in 1975 with her then husband Guy E. “Bud” Hillyer until Bud passed away in December, 1980.  On October 16, 1983 she married Francis W. “Bill” Connors, and together they shared a wonderful life.  Activities included golf, traveling, socializing and embracing the “Snowbird” lifestyle, living in St Petersburg, Florida in the winter and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in the summer.  When Bill Connors passed away in 2008, Marilyn continued traveling back and forth until 2018, when she resided full-time in Tampa, Florida.

Marilyn and Bill were loving grandparents to seven children, Brittany, Taryn, Adam and Haley Webber, and Kayla Landen all in Tampa, Florida, as well as Bryan and Dana (Jack Fennell) in Wisconsin.  Fishing trips to Canada, visits to Wisconsin Dells, Disney World, Busch Gardens, and a family reunion cruise to Bermuda are some of the many activities Marilyn and Bill orchestrated with their family.

Marilyn loved traveling, and each year they would go on planned trips to Europe, Alaska, and Canada or a cruise in the Caribbean with her brother Jack and wife Mary Ann.  While at home in Beaver Dam, she enjoyed golfing at Old Hickory, playing bridge, and attending many social events. She was a member of St. Patrick’s church, and embraced her Catholic education her entire life.  Her strong faith was inspiring to many, and even her final moments were spent in prayer.

Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Jim (Mandi Saucerman), and Bill (Gail) Webber, along with step children Kevin Hillyer, Lisa (Hillyer) Callos, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack Kuhlman and his wife Mary Ann, along with husbands William Webber, Guy E. “Bud” Hillyer and Francis W. “Bill” Connors.  She will be laid to rest at the Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Beaver Dam, next to her beloved Francis Connors.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that any donations be made to St. Katharine Drexel Church.
