Library Begins Move Back to Its Renovated Home

(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Community Library’s move from its temporary location back to its newly renovated permanent home at 311 N. Spring St. is underway.

Movers hired by the library arrived at the temporary location on Wednesday. They’ll spend the next month transporting.

“All the due dates for items checked out have been extended,” said Library Administrator Sarah Cournoyer. “We encourage people to use our neighboring Monarch Libraries while we’re closed to return materials if you’re done with them; to check out new materials, or if you have holds, you can change that holds location to one of those libraries.”

Construction on the library began in September, 2025 and cost approximately $2.25 million, funded through more than $800,000 in community donations and a $1.5 million contribution from the Library Endowment.

There will be a special pre-opening event at the renovated library on Saturday, May 16. Then the library will reopen to the public on Monday, May 18.
