Jury Trial Scheduled For Beaver Dam Man Charged With Child Porn

(Beaver Dam) A two-day jury trial was scheduled this week for a Beaver Dam man charged with possessing illicit content of children. Adam Rogers is facing 11 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Rogers, who was on probation for being convicted of the same crime, is alleged to have numerous illegal pictures and videos on his cellphone.

According to the complaint, a probation officer was searching Rogers phone to make sure he did not have any social media accounts on it when they saw what they suspected to be child pornography. A warrant was granted and investigators reportedly said that, in their estimation, there were over 10,000 photos on Rogers’ phone of young girls.

They noted that not all of them meet the statutory definition of child pornography and some can be described as erotica. Rogers was sentenced to 10 years in prison following his conviction of Possession of Child Pornography in 2015 and was just released from prison in April.

If convicted again, the 42-year-old faces up to 275 years in prison. The trial is slated to begin on May 1st.
