(Beaver Dam) Cash bond has been set at $50,000 for a Juneau man accused of making inappropriate contact with a minor.
Anthony Engle is facing Second Degree Sexual Assault charges. Investigators received a call from the countyโs Human Services Department in May about a possible sexual assault that happened at a Beaver Dam hotel.
The 16-year-old victim reportedly told law enforcement that when she awoke in the middle of the night, Engle was on top of her and his hands were on her sides.
The victims clothes from the night of the alleged incident as well as a buccal swab from Engle were sent off to the state crime lab for analysis.
According to the complaint, there was strong support that the DNA collected from the clothes and swab matched. If convicted, the 39-year-old faces up to 80 years in prison.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 28th.
