Judge Rules Dodge County Murder Suspect Competent to Stand Trial

(JUNEAU) The case against a Dodge County man accused of killing his estranged wife is moving forward again.

A judge previously ruled Zachariah Rasch incompetent to stand trial. After additional testing, the court has now determined that Rasch is competent. The 44-year-old is scheduled to return to court in two weeks.

Rasch is charged with homicide and hiding a corpse. Court records show Crystal Rasch filed for divorce in 2023, and his parental rights were terminated June 17 of last year. Nine days later, investigators found her remains in a burn area on his property in the Town of Clyman.
