Joseph R. Roth

Joseph R. Roth, age 56 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. 

Joe was born on November 19, 1969, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of John and Patricia (Sakowski) Roth. He attended the Beaver Dam School District and finished school at Franklin High School, before returning to Beaver Dam. He worked at Hardee’s, where he met his future wife, Judy Kehl. They fell in love while putting the ice cream machine together. They were united in marriage on June 1, 1991, at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Together they had two children and 4 grandchildren. Joe continued working in manufacturing throughout the years, working for Trek in Waterloo, Multispec in Waupun, Walmart Distribution Center in Beaver Dam, as well as Gus’ Grafix. Joe could often be found making t-shirts at various softball tournaments. He enjoyed volunteering his time coaching as well, especially for his children’s softball and baseball teams. Joe was a proud member and deacon at Faith Community Church, and his motto has always been to “do the next right thing.” 

Joe is survived by his wife, Judy Roth; his children, Allison (fiancé, Jake Miskowiak) Roth and William (Asia) Roth; his grandchildren, Jayden and Harper Miskowiak, and Elijah and Noah Roth; his siblings, John (Lynn) Roth, Diane Krentz, Christine (Edwin) Moffet, Greg (Will Klein) Roth; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Susan Bahls, Scott Lerok, Donna (Don) Cigelske, Betty Kehl, and Janet (Matt) Budde; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Alvin and Charlotte Kehl; and his siblings, Vicky, Frank, Paul, and Dennis; brother-in-law, Tim Krentz; and other relatives. 

A memorial gathering for Joe will be held on Monday, May 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 401 Stone St., Beaver Dam. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, at Faith Community Church, with gathering time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Larry Meyer officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Hillcrest Dr, Beaver Dam.
