Jefferson County Reports Fourth Coronavirus Death

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting an increase of 285 cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s daily update. The seven-day average is 313 daily infections. There are 21,593 people now having tested positive. Two-point-eight-percent (2.8%) of the nearly 10,000 tests administered came back positive Wednesday, compared to 1.9-percent Tuesday and 2.7-percent Monday. State health officials are reporting 10 more deaths bringing that number to 671. Deaths accounted for three-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 14-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Jefferson County reported its fourth death yesterday and has 138 cases. Dodge County has four deaths on record and 410, an increase of four from Tuesday. The county had 151 negative tests returned for a running total of 6,618. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 30 people while 151 have recovered. Washington County has ten deaths and 283 positive tests. Fond du Lac County has six deaths on record and 247 positive tests to date. There has been one death in Columbia County and 49 positive cases. Green Lake County has 23 cases.
