Jefferson County Deputy Injured After Parked Squad Struck By Passing Vehicle

(Jefferson County) A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy was injured when their parked squad car was struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning. The crash was reported just after 5am on Interstate 94 eastbound, near County Road F.

The preliminary investigation showed that the deputy was in their parked squad providing scene security for a tow truck operator who was removing a semi-truck that was in the medium. A vehicle traveling eastbound struck the squad car.

The deputy was injured and transported from the scene for medical care. The lone occupant and driver of the eastbound vehicle was also transported for medical evaluation. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
