Jeff Kitchen, Beaver Dam Chamber Citizen of the Year, Passes Away

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam community is mourning the loss of a well-known businessman. Jeff Kitchen died on Friday at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis. Jeff and his wife Shirley Kitchen, who had been together for nearly 50 years, came to Beaver Dam in 1973. Jeff was an owner and broker at Century 21 Real Estate. From 2005-to-2006 he was chairman of the 18-thousand-member Wisconsin Realtors Association. Jeff also served on the Beaver Dam Area Development Corporation since the year 2000. Earlier this year, Jeff and Shirley were named the Citizens of the Year by the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce. They were singled out for their involvement in numerous local charitable non-profits, as board and committee members, and were acknowledged for their generosity and hard work in the community. Jeff was a strong supporter of the Chamber and served as an Ambassador for several years. Jeff Kitchen was 73-years-old.
