(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Fire Department has received a $10,000 donation from Jahnke’s Piggly Wiggly in Juneau. Owners Dan and Jane Jahnke have a long-standing tradition of contributing thousands of dollars to Dodge County fire and emergency medical service agencies.
This latest donation will support the Beaver Dam Fire Department Dive Team’s equipment replacement program. These upgrades are essential to ensure the team can safely and effectively respond to water emergencies throughout Dodge County. As the county’s only dive team, Beaver Dam Fire Department works closely with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and responds to water-related incidents across the region.
This marks the Jahnke’s second $10,000 contribution to the dive team. Their first donation, in September 2022, funded a specialized communication system that allows divers to stay connected with each other and surface support personnel during operations.
“We are deeply grateful to Dan and Jane Jahnke for their continued commitment to public safety,” said Fire Chief Michael Wesle of the Beaver Dam Fire Department. “Their generosity helps ensure our dive team has the tools needed to protect lives in critical situations.”
