(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam officials will hold an informational meeting Sunday concerning what they are calling the Render Safe Operation at the Village Glen Apartments where a blast killed one person last Monday. Mayor Becky Glewen will address community members and businesses in the City Council Chambers at 4pm. A smaller meeting for immediately impacted tenants will be held at the same time in the sanctuary at the Harvest Evangelical Free Church located at W7444 Highway 33. Those affected by the explosion are highly encouraged to attend the meeting at Harvest Evangelical Free Church. The same information will be provided at both meetings.
An account has been established for those wishing to make monetary donations to the Beaver Dam residents affected by the blast. Dodge County Emergency Management Director Amy Nehls says donations can be made at any Horicon Bank location in Dodge County and can be addressed to the Dodge County COAD / Beaver Dam Apartments. All donated funds will be used to assist the residents of building #109 Knaup Drive. Any non-monetary donations should be dropped off at Saint Vincent DePaul or American National Bank.
