Deer hunters who camp in the woods are being reminded to be careful about where they get their firewood. It’s against the law to remove firewood from counties under quarantine for either the emerald ash borer or the gypsy moth. And 51 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties have quarantines for one of the pests or both. The state Agriculture Department asks hunters to get their firewood only from certified dealers, so they don’t run the risk of spreading the ash borer or the gypsy moth. The nine-day gun deer season began yesterday (Sat).
