Huber Inmate Charged With Escaping From Dodge County Jail

(Juneau) A Huber inmate was charged last week with failing to return to the Dodge County jail following a pre-approved medical appointment. Randall Riese is facing a felony count of Escape. On October 28th, Riese was taken to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam. When a correctional officer contacted the hospital for an update, they said Riese was discharged and left the facility. A warrant for his arrest was issued and around 8am the following morning a Columbia County Sheriff’s deputy reported that he had taken Riese into custody at a Randolph grocery store. Riese was under extended supervision until December 16th for a 2014 burglary conviction. If convicted, the 34-year-old faces no more than six-years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 19th.
