Horicon District Administrator Remembers Tina Streblow

(Horicon) The Horicon School District is mourning the loss of its board president. Tina Streblow passed away unexpectedly on January 28. Streblow had been with the Horicon school board since 2011 and served as president the past three years. District Administrator Rich Apple says Streblow was a (quote) “dynamic person” who had a passion to help others. He says Streblow worked at her local church as a sixth grade catechism teacher, mentored Horicon students through their STRIVE program and took several foreign exchange students to live in her home. Apple says Streblow’s memory will live on within the Horicon School District. He says once the referendum construction is completed, Streblow’s imprints will be seen forever within the new elementary school and in the upgrades to the junior/senior high school. Streblow is survived by her husband David and two children. A visitation is planned for today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon from 10am to 1pm. Apple says the school board will hold a special recognition for Streblow during their February meeting.
