Holiday Shopping Season Will Likely be “Turbulent”

(MILWAUKEE) The holiday shopping season will likely be a “turbulent” one in Wisconsin, according to Tim Gibbons, the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Editor-in-Chief.

“Consumers are pulling back. They’re a little unsure of where the economy is exactly going. So they’re looking at (their) budgets,” Gibbons told 620 WTMJ. “The buy word this season is aiming for things that are affordable.”

Gibbons said analysts predict shoppers will spend 5% less this year than they did last year.
