(FOX LAKE) Plans to rebuild Highway 33 from Randolph to Fox Lake are being moved up considerably. Instead of the summers of 2027 and 2028, Fox Lake leaders say work on 33 will now begin in April, and be done by early July.
“This worked out really good for Fox Lake,” said City Administrator Kelly Crombie. “We’re not going to have three years of back to back to back construction. “I think in the end, this does work out better for the community.”
Dodge County still plans to rebuild Highway A from 151 to Fox Lake after the 4th of July. But now, drivers and businesses in Fox Lake will only be inconvenienced for one summer.
