Grothman Tapped To Serve On Task Force To Combat Mexican Drug Cartels

(Glenbeulah) Earlier this month Congressman Glenn Grothman was tapped by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to serve on the new Congressional Task Force to Combat Mexican Drug Cartels.

The task force has 18 members on it. Grothman believes his role as Chairman of the House Oversight Committeeโ€™s Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs had something to do with that assignment and his frequent trips to our southern border to check out the crisis.

The Task Force will be asked to identify how Congress can use its power to stop the Cartels crimes and save American lives from deadly drugs and human trafficking.

The federal lawmaker from Glenbeulah says in late October the task force will meet with Mexican officials in Mexico City to see how they can work together on the issues. He says one of the main goals is to reduce the flow of Fentanyl across our southern borders.
