Grieger Leads LaCrosse To NCAA D3 Tournament

Randolph native Sam Grieger scored 33 points and grabbed six rebounds Saturday to lead UW–La Crosse to its first-ever WIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament championship with an 81-78 victory over UW–Whitewater.

The 18th-ranked Eagles advanced to the title game with an 87-83 win over UW–Stout and an 82-63 victory against UW–Oshkosh.

With the tournament championship, UW–La Crosse earns the WIAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament and will host Hope on Friday night in the first round.

The 2023 Randolph graduate led the WIAC in scoring this season, averaging 25.8 points per game.
