Golden Beavers Fall To 3rd Ranked DeForest

The DeForest Norskies took advantage of six first half Beaver Dam turnovers to build a 51-0 halftime lead and 58-14 win on Friday night at HH Derleth Field.

The 2019 WIAA Division 3 state champs saw QB Mason Keyes throw for five touchdowns and run for another in the 1st half as DeForest worked with a short field most of the first 24 minutes. Two of Keyes’ TD passes went to Brody Hartig.  Logan Engeseth retuned a free kick after a safety 72 yards for a TD.  The 3rd ranked Norskie defense held Beaver Dam to -32 yards in the 1st half.

Beaver Dam sophomore Gabe Klatt ran for 31 yard TD and caught a 24-yard TD pass from Cameron Mendoza in the 2nd half as they tried to build some momentum heading into next week.

Beaver Dam (2-3, 1-2) heads to Oregon next Friday night for a game with huge playoff implications.  You can hear that game on 1430 WBEV and watch it on DailyDodge TV at DailyDodge.com presented by Columbus Family Dental and the Beaver Dam Unified School District.
