(JUNEAU) The Dodge County Board will soon have five detailed options for the future of county government office buildings. Brad Kwasny of Venture Architects of Milwaukee gave an updated preliminary report to supervisors Tuesday night.
“We know what departments tend to grow. We’ve interviewed department heads. We know what’s not growing. We look at your population; is it growing, is it shrinking? What are the projections? We want to give you at least a 50-year building.”
Kwasny said the Henry Dodge has outlived its life expectancy, but that the administration building can be renovated.
The most pressing needs are for new and improved working spaces for the Human Services, Medical Examiner, and Corporation Counsel offices. Kwasny said cost estimates for the five options will likely range from $40 million to $83 million.
The architects’ final report is expected to be ready in a few days.
