Four Tornadoes Hit Dodge County One Year Ago

(JUNEAU) It was one year ago, May 15, 2025, when Dodge County was hit by four tornadoes. The worst damage was done in Juneau and Mayville, which were hit by EF2 tornadoes, with wind speeds of up to 120 mph.

Since then, officials have been reviewing their response plans.

“As best practices come about, and different guidance from the state, Wisconsin Emergency Management comes down, that’s how we tweak our processes, just throughout the county, assisting other branches throughout the county, and improving their processes,” said Matthew Bartol, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Dodge County Emergency Management Agency.

Homes and businesses were damaged; trees and power lines went down; andย thousands ofย people lost electricity. Injuries were minor, and nobody died.

Bartol said he’s confident that Dodge County is well prepared for future severe weather emergencies.ย
